China Southern operates 49 cargo flights a week

From October 28, 2018, China Southern Freighter will carry out the 2018-19 winter and spring flight plan. In the new season, the size of China Southern's freighter fleet will remain unchanged, including 12 Boeing 777 freighters and two Boeing 747 freighters, and it plans to fly 49 scheduled international cargo flights per week, will open two additional European freighter routes, and open a new traffic point in Luxembourg.

In the new season, China Southern Airlines mainly optimized and expanded the cargo flights on the European line. Under the condition that the flight density of the cargo points remained unchanged, two new routes were added to the cargo hubs of Shanghai and Guangzhou respectively: Guangzhou - London (Stansted) - Guangzhou and Shanghai Pudong - Luxembourg - Shanghai Pudong, with the former flying every Sunday and the latter flying every Tuesday.

Among them, for the London route, China Southern Airlines has opened the Guangzhou - London - Frankfurt - Guangzhou cargo route in June 2015. With the opening of the new Guangzhou-London-Guangzhou route this year, China Southern's cargo flights to London have reached four per week. China Southern Airlines is also the first domestic airline to open direct cargo flights between China and the UK.

Therefore, in the new season, China Southern Airlines in the European market with Amsterdam and Frankfurt as the traditional trunk destinations, supplemented by London Stansted, Luxembourg emerging destinations, will be in Shanghai and Guangzhou a total of 26 scheduled weekly cargo flights; In the US market, we will continue to focus on Los Angeles and Chicago, with a total of 21 shifts per week planned in Shanghai and Guangzhou. In addition, the Guangzhou - Vietnam - Guangzhou route carried out by the Boeing 747F has maintained stable operation, and still carries out 2 flights per week, providing a stable transit source for the operation of the Guangzhou cargo hub.

In the next step, China Southern Cargo will continue to rationally utilize the existing capacity to continuously optimize flight scheduling, improve aircraft utilization, keep up with the changes in the global economy, trade and industry, improve the freighter route network, rely on the traditional cargo markets in Europe and the United States, further explore the regional market, deepen the domestic market, comprehensively strengthen the route network construction, and improve the stability and on-time rate of flight operation.
